Compensation: $100,000 - $160,000 salary commensurate with experience plus equity.

Role Overview:

As the first member of our in-house engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our technology stack. You will collaborate closely with our external engineering partner to ensure the seamless integration and continuous improvement of our software. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of our applications focusing on full-stack development, we use React (Next.js) for front-end and Node.js for back-end services. Our infrastructure leverages AWS, with EC2 for server management and RDS Postgres for databases. SST is employed for both serverless architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC), enhancing our deployment and resource management. Additionally, we use Prisma as an ORM and Textract for document processing.

- Collaborate with our external engineering partner to ensure technology alignment and efficient handover of projects.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Learn and grow your skills in cloud infrastructure and software development practices.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.

Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Familiarity with our technology stack: AWS, RDS Postgres, SST, React (Next.js), Node.js, Textract, EC2, Prisma, and Stripe.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
